C'est avec immense regret que nous annonçons le décès de Maitre Selim Moghrabi.
survenu le mercredi 28 juillet.
Maitre Moghrabi a contribué a la fondation de Maghen Abraham. son travail acharné
et sa dévotion pour notre communauté pendant plusieurs années a permis a Maghen Abraham de grandir et s'épanouir pour devenir un joyau reconnu parmi les congregations de Montreal .
il fut notre président pendant plusieurs années

It is with deep sadness that the Moghrabi family announces the passing of Selim Moghrabi on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the age of ninety-four. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Victoria (Vicky) Elias; his loving children, Rebecca Becky, Shirley (Serge), Albert, Moïse (Sandra), and Mike (Andrea); his cherished grandchildren, Jenny, Vicky, Tina, Sarah, Mia, Max, Sam, Maya, Rachel, Jacob, Daniel, Alexa and Sofia; his sisters, Sarina, Suzette, Lily, Emma and Ruthy; by his numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
Selim was a wise, intelligent and a sensitive man. He was gentle and kind-hearted, and loved his family and his community. He moved from Lebanon to Canada in 1976 for his family. Khalo Selim (uncle Selim) was a big man in every sense of the word and the patriarch of the whole extended Moghrabi family. For his friends and clients, he was El Istaz, all the way from Lebanon to Canada.
He moved from a big and prestigious law practice in Lebanon to another one here in Montreal after going back to school here at the age of 49 and rebuilt a successful career! For his community, he did everything. From the foundation of the Lebanese Maghen Abraham synagogue with his friends, to the presidency of the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation. He was generous and kind with everyone and brought
together many different communities. And lastly, Selim was a wonderful dad, husband and uncle. He gave us everything. We will miss him very much.

Dear Mograbi Family, Vicky, Mike, Becky, Shirley, Sandra and Albert, I was very sad to hear the unfortunate news. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences on behalf of myself, my family, my parents as well as our entire and whole Kahal of the Maghen Abraham. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you all be spared further sorrow. Barukh Dayan Ha-Emet. May only good memories sustain you through this difficult time. AMEN. Selim was President of the Maghen Abraham for many years and was a pillar of the Lebanese Community for many years and worked tirelessly for his Kahal and his Community. I profound loss.

Personnellement, j'ai travaillé avec Selim pendans des années, j`ai assisté a des reunions du conseil dans son domicile. Il était toujours fier de ce qu'il a accompli depuis son arrivée au Canada .que ce soit du coté professionnel ou religieux.
Son départ est une grande perte.
En mon nom, et celui de mon épouse Dody, nous présentons nos plus sincères condoléances aux familles éprouvées.
